Another qantum leap to simplify DX-ing has been made in 2007.
Winradio by means of my little plug-in Speclab.xrs is connected to SpectrumLab and my creation StationList that imports Günter's entire mwoffset.txt
list. It dynamically shows the section of only the current tuned frequency and changes automatically whenever Winradios frequency is altered. SL shows the carriers (0.5Hz resolution) and its frequency axis also moves along accordingly. In the small StationList window you easily see the possible stations with its offset at a glance without any extra mouse clicks. You immediately see what carrier belongs to what station, and if a new one is among them. No more need to listen for a while anymore and only then to discover that you already logged it before.
Adding new entries is a piece of cake now. Just move via the down-key to the bottom of the table and a new empty line appears. Enter offset value and info. Nominal frequency and time stamp are added automatically. These new entries can later be exported and sent to Günter Lorenz to be included in his list

This screenshot shows how the 3 programs are arranged on my screen. The red circle marker in the spectrum is positioned on one carrier and its value is shown in the menu bar. Note: MHz-digits are suppressed to keep the scale readable

Old version (V2.0.0.4) is still here
.
·StationList.* can be stored in any folder. For an easy start it comes with a database containing mwoffset.txt (version of Sept. 2010)
·For an easy start StationList comes with a Tuning Mode database used at 9 kHz QTHs,
If you live in a 10 kHz country then copy the file TuneMode-10kHz.idb to TuneMode.idb before starting StationList
·Copy the plug-in Speclab.xrs into ..\Winradio\Plugins (not needed for Perseus)
Note: This Winradio-plug-in is not included any longer since there are very few Winradio users
·Important: If you upgrade from V1.x then read & follow the instruction in help file stationList.chm before starting V2.0

Warning for Win7 / Vista users:
When unpacking with WinZip or Window's built-in unzipper, the help-file becomes unreadable because of Win7 security measures.
Solution: Right-click on StationList.chm, select properties and unblock it. Or simply use WinRar to unpack.

The Winradio plug-in sends the frequency value to Spectrum-Lab and StationList.exe
Spectrum-Lab's frequency axis will change along when tuning, MHz digits are suppressed to keep the scale readable.
Adjust the frequency-axis so that 12kHz sits in the center (for offset=0). You can turn off the plug-in in WR.
For calibration tune to a high reference frequency then press Ctrl- while clicking on Speclab Hookup. Enter the correction value in Hz. The displayed carriers in Spectrum-Lab now show precise values. It only needs to be done once, all other frequencies will be correct, at least the ones below 200 MHz

How to set up it up when using Winradio (WR)
·use WR's VSC, in a few cases you instead can use VAC
·turn on WR's secondary output with the samplerate of 48000 S/s
·set in Spectrum Lab
·audio input to WR's VSC,
·samplerate to 48000
·FFT size to 131072 this results in a resolution of about 0.5Hz
·Start Spectrum-Lab before starting WR
·Only then start WR, not the other way around
·Spectrum-Lab will now show the entire 22kHz range, the tuned carrier appears at 12kHz
Zoom out Spectrum-Lab's frequency scale (right click) and then zoom in on the carrier
·Tune WR and the frequency scale of Spectrum-Lab will display the real frequency values

History
V1.2 now supports Perseus.
You don't need Speclab.xrs for it, but instead com0com needs to be installed. Most likely you already have it installed.
Just start Perseus, then Stationlist and press Ctrl-P or click on Query Perseus
NOTE: Whenever Perseus is not running anymore Query Perseus mode will be turned off

V1.4
·2 display modes: channel-only or list that scrolls along while tuning
·right-click an entry sets the receiver to that frequency
·log-book (right-shift-click copies an entry into it) allows to export your logs to Excel / HTML / text
·recording scheduler that optionally sends the PC asleep while waiting for the next scheduled recording
·fast toggle-frequency function to compare if two frequencies carry the same programming
·synchronizes Spectrum-Lab frequency axis for precise carrier measurements, allows to precisely calibrate the axis on-the-fly.
·Nagoya and EIBI type list: only entries matching the current time and weekday (not EIBI) are shown
·Press F1 to get more help

V1.4.0.7
·supports Perseus V2.1a
·Watchlist: compiling stations / frequencies for fast & easy monitoring
·automatic Recording more reliable now, Sample rate can now be defined
·Log-Editor: Date of reception of new entries user definable to simplify log of recordings

V1.5.0.0
·new: Playback Selector
·timestamp of logs made during wav's playback carry now the real reception time
·recording scheduler: some problem fixed

V1.5.0.3
·Playback Selector behaviour improved and quirks eliminated
·Recording scheduler: shutdown modes selectable, last recording can now turn off power of PC permanently
·Spectrum-Lab frequency updates using higher precision to allow better calibration
·supports Perseus V2.1d only, since V2.1f is unsuable for me

V1.5.4
You must delete older schedules.idb before starting this new version, and then re-enter your schedule from scratch.
The file format has changed and ignoring this *will* cause errors

·Tuning Modes, automatically selects USB / LSB while you tune, independently for Perseus & Winradio, useful for MW TA-DX
·Frequency toggle and retaining (Playback Selector) now handles 1Hz values
·Ctrl-Toggle sets alternative frequency to current frequency but leaves receiver unchanged
·Right-click an log entries sets the radio to that frequency
·Log window of current frequency now independently floating
